Standard Phono Cartridge Wire Color Code

Turntable cartridge leads use a universal four-color scheme to ensure proper stereo channel separation and phase alignment:

• White (L+): Left Channel Positive (Hot)
• Blue (L- or G): Left Channel Negative (Ground / Return)
• Red (R+): Right Channel Positive (Hot)
• Green (R- or G): Right Channel Negative (Ground / Return)

How to Connect the Wires

1. Identify the Pins: Look closely at the back of your turntable cartridge and the inner side of your headshell plug. Most modern cartridges have color-coded rings or lettering (R+, R-, L+, L-) next to their 4 output pins.
2. Attach to the Headshell: Use tweezers or small needle-nosed pliers to slide the colored wire clips gently onto the matching pins at the rear of the headshell.
3. Attach to the Cartridge: Connect the other end of the lead wires to the corresponding color pins on the cartridge
